Learn Spanish in Salamanca
The beautiful prehistoric university city of Salamanca is a great destination to learn Spanish in Spain because the traditional and the modern collide here in their finest form. Upon arrival, from a distance the city greets visitors with a majestic Cathedral and gives a taste of the treasures Salamanca has to offer.
Salamanca is ideal for Spanish language courses because the residents speak traditional Spanish, which is very easy for learners to understand and communicate in. Our partner school is located in the charming old town.
The stunning surroundings, the pleasant team and excellent features of the school are inspiring and make learning easy. In this rather small town, after class, you are quickly in the midst of life and can enjoy either the captivating sights or relax in one of the lovely petite cafés.
You should certainly witness early evening in the city when Salamanca drowns in the golden glow of the sun. This is due to the unique stone from Villa mayor, a nearby town of Salamanca, from which all downtown buildings were built. The houses seem to sparkle in the evening sun and give the impression that you are in a city of pure gold.
The University of Salamanca is the oldest university still in existence in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. The university, where currently about 38,000 students study, was established in the 13th century and it fills the city with life. The students keep Salamanca young and vibrant and ensure colourful and diverse nightlife. Those who are not tired from sightseeing by day can enjoy the numerous clubs and bars or end the evening at the theatre or cinema. Another benefit of Salamanca is the rather small size of the city. Hence you can simply do most routes on foot and it is not far from your accommodation, even during late hours.

"I am very satisfied with everything! The organization, the care, the helpfulness and the friendliness of the staff impressed me and led to a good trip without any worries and a good time. The teachers were very good and I learned a lot during the two-week crash course. I recommend it!"
"FANTASTIC!! Everything went well and was well organised. Everybody was so friendly and open towards me!"
"I liked the school very much because it was very friendly and the teachers and the school management were always nice and always had time for us."
"On the first day, the ladies in the office at the school looked after all the newcomers (there was a welcome drink in the morning and the new students were invited to a tapas bar on the first evening). The teachers (a total of 3 teachers during the 2 weeks) were very nice. The school is easily accessible and is located right at the beginning of the Old Town – GREAT!"
"In brief: very dedicated teachers - also friendly, attentive, and always concerned about the students learning successfully. The staff in the office were exceptional. They could remember all the names of the students/customers quickly. The school activities were all good and especially important if you book your course on your own and don´t meet many people of the same age."
"The organisation was perfect, the whole thing ran smoothly and the team organising everything did it happily and put their hearts into it. I admired the patience and friendliness that they had dealing with the very young students. There was plenty to do on the course program and the team also helped individuals with what they wanted. The teachers were competent, coped well with the different levels of ability and had the necessary humour to keep the lessons interesting, but at the same time they were strict about the level of performance of the students."
"I can say nothing negative about the school itself or the staff/teachers. All the teachers I had were very knowledgeable and the size of the classes was ideal. The atmosphere in the class and at the school was also good, and it was great to have different activities organised by the staff on a regular basis."
"The school is located on the edge of the city centre of Salamanca. The building and facilities were good with excellent Internet connection. The staff are a 'Superteam' – ranging from the German/Scottish school management, to the very friendly and helpful secretaries and the very friendly, cheerful teachers. The teachers, especially my two - Jimmy and Carlos - were very well prepared and always up for a joke. Friendliness and cheerfulness are keywords in the teaching activities!! Of course, I liked the special activities such as surprises for breakfast, the Tapas Tour, an excellent wine tasting evening with the manager of the school, the visits to the university, churches and places in Salamanca as well as the chance to go to Segovia and other sights."
