Specific courses focusing on the TOEFL, TOEIC and Cambridge ESOL English exams at our language school in New York will provide you with outstanding preparation in order to be able to sit these examinations.

The contents of the exam preparation courses are geared towards achieving the best possible results in these examinations. Authentic examination materials and regular mock exams enable participants to become accustomed to the structure and format of the assessments. Learners get regular feedback from their language coaches in New York and their performance is reviewed using a variety of different methods of assessment. Writing, speaking, listening and reading are the core elements of this English language course. Listening comprehension exercises help participants to understand the gist as well as the details of what is being said; they also familiarise students with various U.S. accents. The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination has been sat by over 20 million English language students. Courses start on specific dates in April, July and September (for TOEFL courses) and February, June and August (for TOEIC courses). Courses last for four weeks and are comprised of either 20 or 28 lessons a week (50 minutes each). 20 weekly group classes in the morning prepare you intensively and in a focused manner for the TOEFL and TOEIC exams. Eight additional lessons of general English can be booked in the afternoons. Classes consist of no more than twelve participants.

Cambridge ESOL exams (English for Speakers of Other Languages) are also beneficial for students who are keen on bolstering their job application with an internationally recognised language certification and equally valuable to those who want to study at an English-speaking university. Preparation courses for the Cambridge exam are offered to learners with three different levels of English: First Certificate of English (FCE) for those of a good high school level, Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) for advanced speakers and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), offered to candidates with the highest level of English abilities. Cambridge exam courses in New York take 8, 9, 10 or 12 weeks, with courses starting on specific dates each year. The course consists of 20 or 28 lessons (50 minutes each) and classes are no larger than twelve participants.
